"The Diary Of The Ugly Black Girl" with Najeebah Pinson

Today's episode is a very special one to me.  I have a special guest whom is also a good friend of mine.  She is a Wife, Mother, Friend, Business Owner, Product Creator, Licensed Cosmetologist and now published Author.  She is Najeebah Pinson.

Najeebah Pinson is a new Author and Amazon Best Seller of the book: "The Diary of the Ugly Black Girl".  This short and sweet, yet powerful read tells the story of how one black girl begin to find the beauty within herself.  This book has so many gems that can be implemented as you read and also throughout your day and ultimately life.

In the book there is a poem she created called "My Majestic Strands" and OMG it is a powerful Poem encouraging black girls to rock their own Majestic Stands.

The book is clever and creative.  It starts out with the last chapter first and the first chapters last and either way you read it, it works out perfectly.

There is a letter in the book that she wrote to her younger self that is moving and touching.  Some of the quotes from the book that we discuss in this podcast episode is:
